CIOB Singapore is part of CIOB International network of branches comprising of CIOB China, CIOB Hong Kong, CIOB Malaysia, CIOB Australasia, CIOB Africa. Set up in 2004 CIOB Singapore counts over 160 members from students to construction professionals who play an active role in promoting professionalism and innovative thinking in the construction industry.
Since its launch in 2004, CIOB Singapore has played an important role in the region by organising events and seminars relevant to the industry and has established a close link with the National University of Singapore and its master degree programme in construction management. CIOB Singapore has so far organised seminars and talks in areas such as "Public Private Partnership" and has co-organised alongside CIOB Hong Kong and CIOB China a workshops on "Legal Issues in the Project Management". In January 2007, CIOB Singapore will also be the proud supporter and organiser of the conference "Project Management issues in International Construction Projects". This first conference organised by CIOB Singapore will see distinguished speakers from UK and Asia discuss issues and trends in the area of Internationa Construction project management as well as provide an opportunity for professionals to exchange views and ideas from their own personal experience.
CIOB Singapore provides a vital contribution in the promotion of professionalism and education in the area and its growing membership represents professional and academic achievement in the construction industry as well as a wealth of knowldge and expertise in the area.
